Now I’m thinking about Paul. He had a thorn in his flesh, some sort of affliction, that God chose not to take away, to keep him from becoming conceited. So was that the way Paul wasn’t meeting the criteria? God in his omniscience could see that he would become conceited? God might not heal us because he can see where healing might lead to something that goes against him?
